Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you and Swift and Sure Group (South Africa), the business that runs SetupSight, when you use the SetupSight website and service. They are written in plain words on purpose. By creating an account you agree to them and to the privacy policy.

Last updated 23 October 2026. Draft until launch.

1. What SetupSight is

SetupSight is an analysis and journaling tool for traders. You describe a trading strategy, the service turns it into structured rules, and it then runs those rules for you: drawing them on charts, scanning markets and alerting you when the rules are met, backtesting them over past prices, and keeping a journal of your trades.

2. What SetupSight is not

  • Not financial advice. Nothing on the service is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold anything. Every alert, drawing and statistic comes from rules you gave it, applied mechanically. We are not a licensed financial adviser, broker or portfolio manager, and we do not know your situation.
  • Not a broker. The service never places, changes or closes trades and never holds your money. Every trading decision is yours, made in your own trading account, at your own risk.
  • No promise of results. Trading involves a real risk of loss, including the loss of everything you put in. Past results, including backtests, do not predict future results. We make no promise about profit or win rate.

3. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement.
  • Keep your password private and your email address current. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • One person per account. Do not share or resell access.
  • Tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.

4. Plans, trial and payment

  • The plans, their limits and their prices are on the pricing page. Prices are in US dollars; tax is added at checkout where it applies.
  • Every plan starts with a free trial of 7 days. Your card is taken at checkout and the first charge is made on day 8 unless you cancel before then. You get an email before the trial ends, so the first charge is never a surprise.
  • Payments are handled by Paddle.com, our reseller and merchant of record. Paddle's own terms apply to the payment itself, and Paddle sends the invoice. We never see or store your card details.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically, monthly or yearly, until you cancel. The renewal date and amount are shown in Settings under Billing.
  • You can change or cancel your plan at any time from Settings under Billing, with no notice period and no fee. An upgrade applies at once. A downgrade or cancellation applies at the end of the period you have paid for, and you keep access until then.
  • Refunds. There are no refunds for the unused part of a paid period, except where the law of your country gives you a right to one (for example a cooling-off period for consumers). If a charge was clearly our mistake, write to us and we will put it right.
  • We may change prices. A price change applies from your next renewal and we will tell you at least 30 days before, so you can cancel first if you wish.
  • If a renewal payment fails, Paddle retries it for a short time and emails you. If it still fails, the plan ends and the account goes back to a state where the tool cannot be used until a plan is chosen again. Your data is kept (see section 11).
  • If you dispute a charge with your bank instead of writing to us, we may pause the account until the dispute is settled. Writing to us first is faster for everyone.

5. Your content

  • Everything you put into SetupSight, in particular your strategies, your journal and what you write to the AI, stays yours.
  • You give us only the permission needed to run the service for you: to store that content, to turn your strategy into rules, to run those rules, and to send the text of your teaching conversation (and a chart picture you upload) to our AI provider to do so.
  • Your strategies are private to your account. We never show them to other users or use them to improve anything for other users. Our staff may look at an account, read only, to help with support or to stop misuse; every look is logged.
  • Only put in content you have the right to use. Do not upload other people's paid courses or material you are not allowed to share. If someone tells us that content in an account infringes their rights, we may remove it and will tell the account holder.
  • If you send us a suggestion or feedback, we may use it to improve the service without owing you anything for it, and without any claim on your strategies.

6. Our intellectual property

  • The service itself is ours: the software, the rule engine and the rule format, the design, the text and pictures on the site, the example patterns, and the name and logo of SetupSight. They belong to Swift and Sure Group or are used under licence, and they stay ours when you use the service.
  • While your account exists you may use the service for your own trading. That is a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission, and it is all you need.
  • You may not copy, resell, rent or sub-license the service, take it apart to rebuild it, or build a product or dataset from its drawings, alerts, prices or AI answers. Taking a screenshot of your own chart or journal for your own use is of course fine.
  • "SetupSight" and its logo may not be used in a way that suggests we endorse you or your results, or that your advice comes from us.

7. Open-source software

SetupSight is built with open-source libraries, each used under its own licence. Those licences apply to the libraries, not to the service as a whole. The list, with each licence, is on the open-source licences page. The chart is drawn with TradingView's Lightweight Charts, which is why a link to TradingView appears under every chart.

8. Fair use

Do not:

  • try to get into other people's accounts or data, or to get around the plan limits;
  • copy, scrape or resell the price data, the drawings or the alerts;
  • use the service to break the law, or to give others financial advice as if it came from us;
  • attack, overload or probe the service, or try to make the AI act outside its purpose.

We may suspend or close an account that does any of these. If you find a security problem instead, please tell us (section 14) and we will thank you, not sue you.

9. Market data, alerts and the AI

  • Prices come from a third-party data provider and are shown to you under its licence. Data can be delayed, have gaps or be wrong. When the service notices a data problem it shows a warning instead of a result, but it cannot catch everything.
  • Alerts are a convenience, not a guarantee. They depend on the data feed, our scanner, your browser, your email provider and the internet, and any of them can fail or be late. Never rely on an alert as your only way of watching a position.
  • The AI turns your words into rules and explains them. It can misunderstand. Always read the plain-words check-up and the drawings before trusting a strategy, and use the backtest.
  • The price data stays available only while our data licence does. If that licence ever ends we must delete stored prices, and we will tell you before that happens.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service running, but it is provided "as is" and we do not promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. We may change, add or remove features. If we ever stop the service we will give you at least 30 days' notice and a way to export your journal and strategies.

11. Ending the agreement

  • You can close your account at any time yourself, under Your data in Settings, or by writing to us. A running plan ends that day (no refund for the unused part, section 4) and your data is deleted as described in the privacy policy. Download your data first if you want to keep a copy.
  • We may close an account that breaks these terms, after a warning where that is fair, or at once for serious misuse.

12. Limits of our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for trading losses, lost profits or any indirect loss that comes from using or being unable to use the service, from a missed, late or wrong alert, from wrong data, or from a mistake by the AI. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms removes rights that the law gives you and that cannot be taken away by agreement, including under the Consumer Protection Act of South Africa and consumer law in the European Union and the United Kingdom.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For a change that matters we will tell you by email or in the app at least 14 days before it applies. Using the service after that date means you accept the new terms; if you do not, close your account before then.

14. Law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of South Africa, and its courts have jurisdiction, without taking away any protection the law of your own country gives you.

Questions about these terms: swiftandsuregroup@gmail.com, or the support page in your account.
